These are some of the drawings and sketches I’ve done recently, also a couple of paintings I have done so far this holiday. I have set myself a little target of doing ten paintings this holiday, but unfortunately I’m only on the third and there’s 6 weeks left, if the weather were a little better I’m sure I’d be more likely to get some decent photos and direct observation opportuntities. Anyway, I’d like to hear what you think about this stuff…
Pasta, still life in pencil crayon

Start Point, direct observation in pencil crayon

Breakfast, still life in aquarelle crayon, although I didn’t use much water as I put in a little too much detail and couldn’t bring myself to wet it.

Dad on the sofa, direct observation in ink pen

Stokenham Church, aquarelle, which I actually dissolved this time. Direct observation from an extraordinarily uncomfortable position on a branch protruding over the road.

I love them all, especially the fire tackle one. You are annoyingly talented.

I like it all muchos! Especially the foody ones, and the one of the cat. I like the family portrait as well but I swear your head is slightly longer in real life
I cried with laughter over your letter to Nat from Devon ages ago… “I’m not a lady!”
Love you xxx
